Withdrawal & The Grand Promise
.
In this, my second video on antidepressant withdrawal, I want to step back and look at the big picture.
I want to set the context of how a person would get into this position in the first place.
It's all based on 'the grand promise'.
You can learn the fundamental principle by watching the video below. If you have a specific question about the grand promise, then feel free to leave a comment below and I'll do my best to answer it.
NOTE: If the video stops playing and then starts back, try this: Turn down the sound (so it won't annoy you!) then let it play all the way through without watching it. Then hit REPLAY and this time it should work okay.
And the nutritional supplements I recommend can be found here.

I am on my second step down from Effexor. I started Effexor shortly after I was dignosised with Breast Cancer (I am a survivor 5 years). I was up to 325 mg per day and have been stepping down gradually since June 2007.
I just recently(10 days ago)dropped another 37.5 mg which has me at 117.5 mg per day at present.
This last step down has been very painful, the side effects are unreal, shortness of breath, brain shivers(which seem to be the worst , can't drive, ride my bicycle, even walking feels awkward and the hot flashes are unbearable.
I wish I had tried more holistic methods than pharmacuitical.. I understand what a herion addict or any addict for that matter feels like when they are withdrawling.
I have taken my self power back and will stand in my own and find other solutions to what ails me.
Anti depresents are the worst thing for any one.
Everyone take your power back and stand in your own manhold/womanhood.

I am tapering off of Lexapro, you know the one with no side effects and no problems stopping? Ugh. I gained weight, became lethargic, and was totally uunmotivated. Tapering is hard because the pills are just 10mg so you have to cut little slices off them until you finally get off them - but not without a load of side effects!
To the person who is having trouble getting off of Effexor, I feel your pain. I also taperted off that once and I will NEVER take another antidepressant again. Getting on takes weeks then getting off of them is worse!
Mark! We need your advice. Hurry those videos up!
A fan.

There are ways to minimize the side effects of withdrawal. I supported my girlfriend's efforts to get off Zoloft. This online source seems to have the best methods.

Hi Bruce
I appreciate your enthusiasm for the road back. I very much wanted to work with them, and their competitor - label me sane - but they both refused to have anything to do with me.
I haven't been so soundly rejected since 10th grade.
Anyway, I've decided after quite a bit of thought, to compete against both of them. Since the products are available to anyone who wants to go to the hassle of selling them.
I've gone to the source - Immunotec.
I've put up my own page at http://www.join-the-fun.com/immunocal.html and anyone can purchase the products there if they wish.
I do respect what the others are doing, and I will leave your post up. The main thing is, that people get the help they need, right?
